Marks 06 F350 08 6.7 Cummins adventure

In the process of swapping. Burned a valve and mangled a piston on the ol 6.0. Always wanted an f350 that made Cummins noises.

She’s done! 100 psi compression

Main harness will follow here. Picking up on the studs and will have a movement loop between engine and body.

Currently all dressed up and nowhere to go. Converter will be here next week. Turbo blanket because I really dislike how close the starter solenoid is to the housing.

Plans are keeping the VGT and stock injectors. Will post more as I button it up.

F81Z-14A099-CA is a 7.3 wire tray that allows the hideous 6.0 wire tray to go away.

MAP sensor relocated to bottom of battery tray bracket. Will run 1/4” line to back of charge piping out of sight.

2 problems (tertiary)

2008 ford f450 6.4

  1. Power steering hoses: I “homemade” my hose from the stock ford output hose, and before I could even test drive, it blew off one of the ends. What have others done? I heard rumor the 03-07 6.0 ford ps hose works?

  2. Coolant burping: because of the kit a purchased, the whole dodge bleeder hoses are gone. How has anybody else burped the system? Should I install a bleeder valve between the lower coolant outlet and heater core inlet?

The Ford 6.0 line, pump to hydroboost, works well. To bleed, remove the ECT sensor and fill it up. I usually vacuum them, but either way works well. CarQuest/Advanced line #37193
